MIT's Alan Guth is one of the originators of the inflation theory of the early universe. He also teaches an introductory course on cosmology, which you can take for free, thanks to MIT's Open Courseware project. The Early Universe
The Early Universe provides an introduction to modern cosmology. The first part of the course deals with the classical cosmology, and later part with modern particle physics and its recent impact on cosmology.
